On November 18, 2020, we were fortunate to have the Human Early Learning Partnership present both the Wave 7 EDI findings in Burnaby and some of the Childhood Experiences Questionnaire (CHEQ) data. If you’d like to view the 1.5 hour workshop, click here.
Description: Kate Buium of HELP provided a brief overview of the Wave 7 EDI community-based data. Dr. Alisa Almas, Research Associate and the Principal Investigator for the CHEQ (Childhood Experiences Questionnaire), covered the COVID-19 related research and some brand new CHEQ data collected from 7 school districts in September and October 2020. The presenters also provided an overview of some current research on the impact of COVID-19 on children and families, and shared some examples of the ways family resource-type programs have shifted gears to support families during the pandemic, and some related resources.
